Leadership Team
Alan Blake (CEBT, CTBS)
Alan Blake serves as the Co-CEO of Precision Ocular Network. Prior to the merger of Advancing Sight Network and Miracles In Sight in 2026 to form Precision Ocular Network, Alan served as Executive Officer of Advancing Sight Network, a role he held for more than a decade during his twenty-plus-year career with the organization.
Throughout his career, Alan served in a variety of roles at Advancing Sight Network, including recovery coordinator, call center manager, and technical director. After gaining experience at the Illinois Eye Bank, Alan returned to Advancing Sight Network, where he began his career following graduation from Birmingham-Southern College.
Over the years, he has overseen technical and administrative operations focused on maximizing organizational impact while maintaining the highest stewardship of donated gifts to restore sight. Alan is passionate about enhancing lives—whether supporting the Precision Ocular Network team, offering hope to donor families, or helping restore sight to those in need.
Ingrid Schunder (MBA, CEBT)
Ingrid Schunder serves as the Co-CEO of Precision Ocular Network. She began her career in eye banking in 1999 at the Lone Star Lions Eye Bank in Austin, Texas, where she performed all aspects of eye banking as Technical Director during her thirteen-year tenure.
In 2013, Ingrid joined Miracles In Sight as Supervisor of Recovery Services. After earning her MBA with a concentration in Leadership in 2016, she was promoted to Vice President of Donor Logistics, overseeing donor recovery operations and hospital development throughout North and South Carolina. In 2020, she led the acquisition of the Lone Star Eye Bank, which became the Miracles In Sight Lone Star Division.
In 2022, Ingrid was promoted to President and CEO of Miracles In Sight, a role she held until the January 2026 merger with Advancing Sight Network that formed Precision Ocular Network.
She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Eye Bank Association of America (EBAA). Before her career in eye banking, Ingrid served in the United States Army (HHC, 2AD) as the Commanding General’s Attendant, and later taught high school Spanish and English.
Gregory Grossman
(PhD, BCMAS, CCRP, CEBT)
Dr. Gregory Grossman serves as Chief Scientific Officer at Precision Ocular Network, providing administrative leadership and scientific oversight for research programs and innovative initiatives aimed at accelerating therapies for vision loss worldwide. He also leads the Precision Ocular Biobank, one of the few certified ocular biobanks in the world.
Prior to the 2026 merger that formed Precision Ocular Network, Dr. Grossman served as Scientific Innovation Executive Lead at Advancing Sight Network. Before joining the organization, he conducted research at Cleveland Clinic’s Cole Eye Institute and led clinical operations at the Cleveland Eye Bank.
Passionate about restoring sight through eye donation, Dr. Grossman holds multiple certifications and serves in leadership roles across national and international organizations, including ARVO, EBAA, and ISBER. He served as President of the ISBER Board of Directors for 2025–2026.
Teresa Ham
Teresa Ham serves as Chief Administrative Officer at Precision Ocular Network. Prior to the 2026 merger that formed the organization, she served as Executive Lead for Administration at Advancing Sight Network—a role she held for most of her more than twenty-year tenure.
Teresa leads accounting, partner relations, philanthropy, and communications, working to strengthen organizational culture, effectiveness, and mission impact. She is deeply committed to supporting a mission that changes lives every day.
Her leadership roles with the Eye Bank Association of America (EBAA), Donate Life Alabama, and Donate Life America reflect her dedication to community and collaboration, as well as her favorite quote by Helen Keller: “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”
Chief Administrative Officer
Kyle Mavin (CEBT, CTBS)
Kyle Mavin serves as Chief Operating Officer at Precision Ocular Network. Prior to the 2026 merger between Advancing Sight Network and Miracles In Sight, he served as Operational Executive Lead at Advancing Sight Network, where he guided both clinical and biobank operations and helped shape the organization’s strategic direction.
With more than twenty-five years of experience in eye banking, Kyle brings extensive technical expertise and leadership experience from roles at Advancing Sight Network, as Clinical Director at Eversight, and through his service on the EBAA Accreditation Board.
Passionate about the gift of sight, Kyle’s commitment to the mission is deeply personal—he is also a donor family member who has experienced firsthand the impact of cornea donation.
Kristen McCoy (MA, CEBT, CTBS)
Kristen McCoy serves as Chief Strategy Officer at Precision Ocular Network. Prior to the 2026 merger between Miracles In Sight and Advancing Sight Network, she served as Vice President of Business Development and Marketing for Miracles In Sight, where she focused on surgeon relations, new service lines, research collaboration, fund development, and marketing initiatives.
Kristen brings more than 28 years of experience in eye banking and 10 years in tissue banking. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton and a Master of Health and Human Services Administration from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota.
She served on the Board of Directors for the Eye Bank Association of America (EBAA) and has contributed as faculty for the Technician Education Symposium and Slit Lamp Symposium, helping train more than 500 technicians globally. She also serves as the Eye Bank Sector representative on the Executive Board of the Global Alliance of Eye Bank Associations (GAEBA).
Chief Strategy Officer
Mike Tramber (MBA, CEBT, CTBS)
Mike Tramber serves as Chief Clinical Officer at Precision Ocular Network. Prior to the 2026 merger of Miracles In Sight and Advancing Sight Network, he served as Vice President of Operations for Miracles In Sight, where he developed long-term strategies, implemented efficient operational processes, and led multiple departments.
Mike began his career in organ, eye, and tissue donation more than 20 years ago as a recovery technician, earning multiple Technician of the Month awards. As Tissue Recovery Manager at Carolina Donor Services, his team earned Golden Quill and Golden Scalpel Awards for excellence in documentation and surgical technique.
Since joining Miracles In Sight in 2006, Mike has implemented impactful process improvements, served on EBAA committees, lead technician education trainings, and lectured internationally.
Mike served in the United States Army as a laboratory technician and trained in surgical technology. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration from Mount Olive College and an MBA from Winston-Salem State University.

Roy L. Alson is a Professor Emeritus of Emergency Medicine at Wake Forest School of Medicine. His areas of interest include EMS, disaster medicine, and the training of providers at all levels in these fields.
David Barnwell, PhD
Chair
Dr. David Barnwell is President and CEO of The Iris Network, where he has served for more than 8 years in rehabilitation for individuals who are blind or visually impaired.
He is a dynamic and results-driven strategist known for transforming ideas into impactful financial and program growth.
With over 28 years of experience in leading high-performing initiatives, David blends creativity with precision and empowers all stakeholders to exceed expectations while fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

Gregory G. Davis, MD
Chief Coroner/Medical Examiner, Jefferson County, Alabama
Professor and Director, Forensic Division, Department of Pathology, UAB
Gregory G. Davis is a forensic pathologist based in Birmingham, Alabama. He has authored more than 80 peer-reviewed publications, with a particular focus on deaths associated with illicit drug use.
He has supported corneal donation throughout his career and has served on eye bank boards since 2014.
Robert Field
Partner, Welden-Field
Robert C. Field is a partner with the Welden-Field group of companies, bringing more than 38 years of experience in real estate development, mortgage banking, property management, and finance.
His current work focuses on multifamily investment, mortgage banking, and tax and financial administration. He serves as chairman of the General Retirement System for the Employees of Jefferson County and is a member of the board of directors of First US Bancshares, Inc. He also serves on the advisory board of Boyd Watterson.
A graduate of The University of Alabama, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration, magna cum laude, Robert previously worked as a Certified Public Accountant with Arthur Andersen in Washington, D.C.
He has a longstanding commitment to vision care, having served as chairman of the Eye Sight Foundation of Alabama and as finance chair of Advancing Sight Network. He continues to serve on the board of Precision Ocular Network as finance chair, following the January 2026 merger of Advancing Sight Network and Miracles In Sight.
Pete Holby, CFP®
Vice-Chair
Pete Holby currently serves as the vice-chairman of the PON board and is chair of the finance committee. Pete joined the Alabama Eye Bank board in 2015, prior to the 2026 merger of Advancing Sight Network and Miracles In Sight to become Precision Ocular Network.
Pete was employed as a Financial Advisor and CFP® professional at Merrill Lynch for nearly 41 years before retiring in 2020. He also serves on the finance committee at his church and is an active member of the Birmingham-area Ultimate Frisbee community.

David Kennedy, MD
Medical Director
Dr. Kennedy is a cataract, cornea, and LASIK surgeon at Gulf South Eye Associates in Metairie, LA. He went to medical school at the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed his ophthalmology residency and corneal fellowship at UT Southwestern in Dallas, TX.
Passionate about serving the vision needs of South Louisiana, Dr. Kennedy serves as one of PON’s medical directors and is the president of the Southern Eye Bank Foundation. He is an active member of Cornea Society and is a former member of the EBAA accreditation committee.

Karen Ratcliffe
Treasurer
President, Kay Wren & Associates
Karen Ratcliffe has served as President of Kay Wren & Associates LLC for 46 years, specializing in tax preparation and maintaining extensive involvement in nonprofit organizations. Previously, she spent 14 years as a Texas investigative auditor of insolvent insurance companies.
She has been an active member of Lions Clubs International for more than 30 years and has served on the boards of Lions foundations and eye banks. She is deeply committed to advancing research and vision care.
Erik Schwiebert, PhD
Director, Station 41
Erik Schwiebert is trained in normal and diseased human cell biology and physiology, earning his PhD from Dartmouth and completing a postdoctoral fellowship at Johns Hopkins.
He served as a tenured professor in Physiology and Cell Biology at UAB for 11 years, focusing on human genetic disease research. He later founded, led, and exited DiscoveryBioMed, Inc. (2007–2022), a company leveraging primary human cells as platform technologies.
Prior to its acquisition by Eurofins, Erik initiated collaborations with Precision Ocular Network (formerly Advancing Sight Network). After concluding his work with Eurofins in 2022–2023, he became Director of Station 41 in October 2023, supporting nearly 30 companies in Alabama’s life sciences and biotechnology ecosystem. He continues to foster collaborations between industry partners, Southern Research, UAB, and Precision Ocular Network.
David Tremblay, MD
Cornea Specialist, Surgeon, Mann Eye Institute
Medical Director
David Tremblay, MD, is a cornea specialist at the Mann Eye Institute in Austin, Texas. He served as Medical Director of Miracles In Sight for nearly 10 years before the merger of Miracles In Sight with Advancing Sight Network in January 2026, to become Precision Ocular Network.
Dr. Tremblay continues his role as Medical Director at Precision Ocular Network. In addition to his focus on patient care, he participates in resident education as an affiliate faculty of the Dell Medical School and is an active member of the Eye Bank Association of America.
